The tea experience at the Hawthorn Tea Room begins when you walk in the door and we welcome you as we would guests in our home. The casually elegant surroundings are more reminiscent of contemporary English tea rooms—cheery and bright yellow walls, fresh flower arrangements, and crisp white linens. The Hawthorn Tea Room is a relaxing get-away for guests to enjoy made-from-scratch lunches, sample many of our 50+ loose-leaf teas, or delight in one of our afternoon tea options.

The Healing Garden Tearoom is an oasis in the city for people to come and experience a feeling of harmony and peace. It is a beautiful, elegant setting where guests are encouraged to slow down and take time for tea. Surrounded by soothing soft colors and lovely quiet music, guests experience a deep relaxing calm that allows them to breathe and just enjoy the moment.
Some of our guests enjoy quiet conversations with family and friends while enjoying delicious scones, tasty sandwiches, excellent tea and lovely desserts. Others come in to enjoy a good book or the newspaper while enjoying their tea. Each one takes from the experience whatever they need to be reenergized and at peace. |

Located in Sumner, WA, this tea room occupies an 1890s mansion, the Herbert Williams House. The charm of the Victorian architecture provides an elegant, yet warm ambiance in which to enjoy lunch or a traditional English-style Tea. All of our food is prepared in-house with our own from scratch recipes. We even grow many of our herbs in our gardens.
Sumner has a delightful downtown shopping area with home decor, gift and antique shops; a browser’s paradise!
